Kate Bosworth is usually impeccably groomed. But at the Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute Gala Benefit on Monday night, it looked as if Smurfette's makeup artist had been moonlighting for the actress.

And was there simply no time for a blow dry? Really? This is the best you can do on one of the most fashionable nights of the year?

Totally ridiculous. Dramatic eyes are one thing in the proper context, but this is absurd to the point of childishness. She doesn't appear to be wearing anything else except lip gloss.
