Star Jones smacks down Barbara Walters for 'fessing up to her affair!

Star_jones_barbara_walters_jpg

Star Jones is snapping back at Barbara Walters for divulging her secret love affair with then-married, then-Sen. Edward William Brooke III in the '70s.

She tells Usmagazine.com, "It is a sad day when an icon like Barbara Walters in the sunset of her life is reduced to publicly branding herself as an adulterer, humiliating an innocent family with accounts of her illicit affair and speaking negatively against me all for the sake of selling a book. It speaks to her true character."

Of course, Star also might be peeved at Baba Wahwah's recent admission that Jones forced her to lie about Jones' gastric bypass surgery on "The View."

Gee, ya think? Cast your vote.

Awww.. Now Star doesn't want to play nice. Star created this entire divabubble she lives in. She quietly filed divorce papers beause she's embarrassed as hell that she found out the man never loved her. Her wedding was the fairytale she wanted and in the end, she got her disappearing fairy.
I'm glad Barbara Walters told her version because I was mad at her and Bill Geddes for a hot second. I was no fan of Star's but I believe people should be treated fairly regarding employment issues. When one's coworkers have to walk on eggshells, its time for that person to leave. There can be no divas when sharing a show with other people.

What if Star and Barbara were to talk online? I bet it'd get even cattier than this: http://www.236.com/news/2008/05/08/if_they_imd_star_jones_and_bar_6412.php
