Jennifer Aniston's latest tall order: crooner John Mayer. And the pix that prove it.

John Mayer hightailed it back to Miami last week after attending the Costume Institute's Gala at the Metropolitan Museum in New York. And reports were that he was spotted back at the very hotel where new amour Jennifer Aniston was staying.

The couple, who reportedly had their first lunch date in late April in Miami, made an official outing when they hit the "Marley and Me" wrap party May 10. Need visual proof of just how "close" the couple have become? Click here.

What is it about this dude that makes women fall over themselves? Any theories?

He's a kitten and she's a cougar, for one. (He turns 31 in October. And she's 39.) But he's also tall (reportedly 6-foot-3). And Jen does seem to like men she can look up to. Jen's past mate/dates have been sizable. Tate Donovan is said to be 6-foot.  Brad Pitt (reportedly 5-foot-11) is just under and Vince Vaughn (reportedly 6-foot-5) is a veritable skyscraper.

But why would Jen date a guy who dated Jessica Simpson? Doesn't that set off alarm bells?

Maybe Mayer will write a love song about Jennifer.

How about "Any Time You Need a 'Friend'?" or "With a Little Help From my 'Friend'?"

Or better yet, "Let's Save Our Middling and/or Sinking Careers With a Very Public Hook-Up?"

That has a nice ring to it.

What's wrong with her just enjoying herself? Doesn't she deserve it? She minds her own business and hasn't said one thing about the Brad and Angelina. If he's a bad boy, then, obviously, she can handle it. She trusted the man who she truly loved and he let her down. She knows what she's doing. How can anyone compare Jennifer Aniston to any of those other women Mayer dated? She's classy and sophisticated. So what if it's just for fun. Isn't she entitled???

Jennifer is such a babe. I am somewhat amazed that she is still single. Obviously by her own choice. For what its worth, Jen is more attractive than Angelina Jolie. But cleary Brad and Angelina have more in common personality wise than did Brad and Jen. That is the way life is.
