Forget the Palme d'Or. The Festival de Cannes' hometown newspaper - Nice-Matin - gave out its own awards, in the print edition, to famous festival film stars this weekend.
The daily French Riviera newspaper gave Madonna its “Egocentric Award” because she “acted like the whole film festival was organized just for her.”
The newspaper presented festival jury president Sean Penn with the “Addiction Award” for “chain smoking in the toilets” and bestowed Mike Tyson with the “Absurd Award” for simply being Mike Tyson.
Clint Eastwood won the “Cinema Lover Award” because he intermingled with the international film crowd and even made an appearance for a "Dirty Harry" retrospective.
Nice-Matin also applauded the ongoing endurance of the 2008 party people, including Sean "Diddy" Combs, Petra Nemcova, Lindsay Lohan, Kerry Washington, Natalie Portman, Naomi Campbell, Kate Hudson, Jay-Z, Beyonce and Milla Jovovich – who managed survive the weekend’s all-night Dolce and Gabbana bash and Puffy's yacht party, which ended just in time for cafe noir and croissants.

You know, I think that the only reason is because you wish you'd look like Madonna when you turn 50. She looks good for her age and the Britneys, Linsdays, and Parises of the world wish they could look as good as her. By the way, are you sure you are not gay?
