Is 'Bloodline' a real-life 'Indiana Jones' or a Hollywood hoax?

Film fans at Sunday's Cannes Film Festival were the first to see Steven Spielberg's  "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull." The audience watched adventurer archaeologist Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) following parchment maps that led to a cave with a long-lost treasure, while battling an evil, power-mad Russian agent (Cate Blanchett) and tossing barbs with his old girlfriend, Marion Ravenwood (Karen Allen).

Ironically, a new documentary called "Bloodline" from filmmakers who have spent years deciphering coded maps found inside buried bottles near an obscure French village called Rennes le Chateau, have also made a startling find in a cave just a few hours drive from Cannes.

Could what they found (the footage above shows a tomb?) be evidence of a Jesus and Mary bloodline and the Holy Grail (as the filmmakers propose)? Or is it merely a hoax more convoluted than the plots of all the "Indiana Jones" films combined?

The only ingredients missing seem to be Indy's bullwhip and felt hat.

Either way, the film's trailer is on Apple's home page today. Watch it here. Then you decide.

It has been proved that Jesus existed (Jesus the man, not proof of Jesus as the son of god). Most likely this Jesus did have children because of the cultural evidence found in the bible, such as, he had a beard (a sign of manhood), he was a Rabi and could preach in the Synagogue (which a man cannot do unless he is married). However, as far as this royal, holy bloodline, you'd have to prove that he was the son of god first.

Bloodline is based on a legend that the Holy Grail was Mary Magdalene and not a metal cup that held Jesus's blood. She was pregnant with Jesus daughter and gave birth to a girl named Sarah. After the death of Jesus Mary took her daughter and escaped to what is now believe to be France. this is what the Divinci Code the movie was all about.

There were a group of people who claimed to be direct descendants of Jesus and Mary Magdalene. They were called the Merovingians, and the Church wiped them out to the last.

Not a hoax. This research has been going on for several years The DaVinci code did more harm than good into research in and around Rennes-le-Château. The book is based on some fact and some imagination. There is a casket, there are bottles and parchments that have been recovered by following clues left at Rennes stations of the cross, which are a bit different than what traditional Catholic churches show. This is not a ploy for more interest in the Indiana Jones movie.

i saw that clip on colorado it was on abc the said they thought that the person under the blankets was jesus it sounds like im crazy but i m just telling u what i saw on tv

Gee. Maybe the tooth fairy is real too!!!

And Santa Claus!

And...

I don't get it. How do you know its Jesus and Mary?

If people wanted others to believe Jesus was the son of God, why would they keep proof that others could uncover no matter how "Guarded" they left them?

Not to mention... it IS the body of Jesus, there IS proof of the bloodline?

Where? is there DNA to say it was Jesus? thousands of people lived and died in Jesus's time, many by crusifixion. How can you say, this is the body of Jesus? There were many Mary's... three of them in fact, at Jesus's death. How can you link one of hundreds of Mary's to Jesus, with No DNA evidence? You have to have Jesus's DNA to compare DNA to. You expect people to not believe Christ was the son of God when there's no solid proof, but you do expect them to simply believe he wasn't without solid proof.

I've been reading the evidence, and those who say "Jesus's ressurection was a hoax, it was Mary who took his body from the tomb..." sound like nut cases to me who are disgruntled with their religion, and are trying to scandalize it.

There is no proof this isn't the earliest form of a Hoax. Christ was very unliked during his life and after his death. Especially by the Jewish elders. You just can't prove its true.

as to the first comment, it is untrue that Jesus had to be married to preach in a Synagouge. It is recorded, even agreed by the Jewish faith, that he spoke in "his father's house" even when he was a young child.

By the way, that's my opinion as a Japanese woman who is Buddhist.

Actually Firefox, Santa claus is TECHNICALLY real.

He was based on a real person - Nicholas, whose parents were extremely rich. He used all of his inheritance to help the poor, needy, under privaleged and suffering.

it was from him that Sain Nick's day, and the Santa Claus legend came about.

but he was a real man.

I'm goin with the Tooth Fairy explanation. Why? Because an Easter Bunny explanation is just too far fetched.
BTW if someone/something is "based" on a real person then TECHNICALLY that someone/something is NOT real.

Actually, there is absolutely no historical proof or record of the existence of Jesus whatsoever. No contemporary Roman records, including the administrative records of Pilate, or any Jewish records whatsoever. The myth that Flavius Josephus or Tacitus left accounts of Jesus from contemporary accounts have been proven to be complete fiction. You would expect that any religion that achieved such worldly currency would have been based on a real man, but there is precedent for that as well. Greek myths, and even older Egyptian god-myths. Read the myths of Horus and then tell me the cult of Jesus could not have been fabricated.

I find this whole thing humerous. I agree how can it be proven that he even exsisted when the only evidence we have of his life is in a book that cannot even tell us who he was when he was between the ages of 12 and 32? The only vague proof that we have that he might have been is in a Roman document claiming that a man named Cristus, caused a disturbance in an area where there was a Jewish settlement. I think the whole thing is a complete hoax done by fanatics that want everyone to believe in the same thing they do and are grasping at straws to get evidence.

Okay folks here's the deal. They DO indeed have DNA evidence "they" not being the "they" in this article. They found the REAL tomb of Jesus and Mary and Joseph and the rest of the family as was the custom back then. They KNOW this for a fact in fact it is well presevered underneath a new condo in Israel who really do not want to deal with it. The had a wonderful documentary on the whole thing that left NOTHING to doubt as far as what can be proven with ancient DNA and other evidence that is 2,000 yrs. old. Also you so called Christians note this; after Jesus died it was about 200 yrs. before they came up with the absurd "immaculate conception" because back then get this now back then they would have scoffed at the ludicrous idea because they knew no one just gets pregnant and getting pregnant back then w/out being married was a huge no-no so the story began. I cannot say one way of the other if Jesus was indeed the son of God and I don't care. I DO CARE about his teachings which those white people in America who call themselves to anyone who will listen that they are good christians are usually the one who violate ALL of HIS teachings. Why is that? Why do you hate so much? Why do you feel the need to kill and kill and kill in the name of God? And what makes you any different than any other religious fanatic????? Hmmmmm???

Bottom Line: The movie provides no facts at all. Zero. Zippo. Conjecture, guesses and speculation. Lots and lots of speculation. It boils down to this: if a desperate director with no real story wanted to sell his film and was willing to do anything, what would he do? Answer: Bloodline.

If you take a little effort to look into what these people actually found and cliam it's not hard to see it's 100% hoax. The proof is neatly summed up here: http://www.rlcresearch.com/2008/05/02/bloodline-fiction/

An information technologist and amateur scholar Ferhat Kanarya , revealed Rennes Le Chateau Mystery at his website http://www.gradale.com

Mr. Kanarya's solution gives the link between Priest Berenger Sauniere and the Holy Grail. Also , Mr. Kanarya pinpoints hidden location of the Holy Grail at his website.

This is most definitely an elaborate hoax for the Da Vinci Code enthusiast and the 'secret knowledge' junkie. If you pay attention to what's being said in the documentary by so-called Priory members or friends of a friend who is supposedly a member, you'll see that the trap is set from the very start, to lead you down a path of disinformation & fabricated truths. I'm the first one to admit that the catholic church has a less than credible background with the bloodsheds, prosecution of the innocent and such and I myself, am not a big fan of organized religion in any way shape or form but it's a know fact to anyone who takes an interest in religious studies that there has been a war going on for over 200 years now between Freemasonry and the two most proliferant religions in the world "Catholicism/Christianism" & Islam. The filmaker is either willingly or unwillingly guided down the company line that has been dished out ferociously throughout the world in the last few years by Masonry & other occult based religions in order to discredit what people hold to be good & true in order to establish themselves as the new world religion. They have bombarded the public with books, films, etc... glorifying their occult beliefs in order to plant the seed of destruction into what threatens their goals and they are a ruthless propaganda machine that will stop at nothing in order to achieve it's goal. Proof of that fact is the "Box of buried treasures" in the supposed tomb. Was it not Jesus himself who preached that the love of money is the root of all evil? Surely, if Mary Magdalene was his wife and indeed is buried there, I highly doubt she would have approved of golden chalices and silver coins or jewels or any of that crap to be buried alongside her & her children & possibly jesus himself. Surely, they'd be disgusted at such a contradiction of their sincerely held beliefs. However, the likes of pharaohs and other false gods & charlatains would often be buried with treasure and even their "subjects" in order not to hve to walk into the afterlife but rather have a hundred lost souls carry them in jewel encrusted, golden thrones and the likes. And you could even argue that "Oh, but it was the templars who buried her there & they needed a place to hide their treasures and such..." but , had they any respect for their dead "priestess" would they have had the audacity to go against all that she and her husband stood against in their time? You must remember that Jesus was a man of values and morals the likes of which we don't see around anymore in this materialistic, hedonistic, depraved & careless society we've become accoustumed to... surely, had she trully been mary magdalene buried there, and had she been married to Jesus, she would have passed these values down to any of her kin, wouldn't you think? The film maker doesn't think so, he goes as far as saying that she was part of the wealthy elite of southern france & that her bloodline was bound to the king & noblemen of france... people who lived in marvelous cstles & drank champagne as their countrymen starved & worked as slaves in order to keep their capricious masters dressed in the finest of silks & throwing wild orgies and fornicating amongst themselves and this is the legacy of Jesus Christ? Come on... you've gotta be shitting me! That's a load of crap... if anything, this is a ploy of the satanic elite to discredit all that keeps us from selling our souls in order to live such self-indulgent lifes as the likes of the British royals who raped, pillaged, murder & robbed their way into being the snobs they are! This documentary is just the tip of the iceberg, we have the dan brown books, national treasure movies, indiana jones, templar lore, masonic glorification and god knows what else, even documentaries that now claim that Aleister Crowley "the self proclaimed Beast" was " A gentle fellow with an interest in white magic who was terribly misunderstood in his time!" and the O.T.O. his legacy is now a quasi-masonic organization of upstanding pillars of society who gather to have tarot card readings and play with ouija boards like flowerchild hippies in a phish concert... The there's Albert Pike, 33rd degree mason, founder of the kkk and author of most masonic literature picture as some a modern day santa clause in ill-fitting suits and a mason's apron displayed in every masonic lodge... but hey, the masons are just bunch of whacky rich dudes, who like to put on plays and have lunch with their pals without the prying eyes of the common "unsofisticated" everyday joe who's jealous of their secret hanky-panky sessions. Please... it's like the fucking American elections & the bush administration all over again, just lies that give birth to more lies and false truths aimed to pull the already alienated, brainwashed masses into selling themselves short & falling into the bottomless pit along with them. Just like the Pharaoh's favourite servants buried alive along with him hoping for a taste of the good life in the other side... people, you're being led off the deep end... dig a little deeper than a fiction novel, a ficticious book like holy blood, holy grail & a doctored & fully scripted mock-u-mentary like this before you start believing any of this crap, do your homework & see if you still feel the same after you really look at our history. Anyways, that's my two cents. You have to think for yourself... there's way too many people in this world telling you what to believe in, who you oughta be and what life should be about & as the old saying goes... "too many cooks, spoil the broth!", be yourself & believe what you feel is true in your hearts & in your minds. God (Whatever you percieve him or her to be) bless you all.

Sincerely,

Not-A-Gull-Or-Bull
