Sorry, TomKat. Posh and Becks found some new BFFs!

Move over, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. It was fun while it lasted.

Victoria and David Beckham have found some NBFFs (new best famous friends): British actress Kate Beckinsale and her "Underworld" director/husband Len Wiseman. The awesome foursome celebrated Victoria's big-34 birthday (April 17) with host Elton John at the British GQ and Dunhill cocktail bash at the Beverly Hills Hotel Wednesday night.

Cruise and Holmes were notably absent. Does this mean that those nasty rumors about an upcoming upcoming 'trial separation' could be true? Hmmmm...

At least Posh didn't have to teach this Kate how to pose properly for photos. Posh glowered for the camera in a short backless blue Versace frock and Christian Louboutin heels, while staying close to David, whose new furry face makes him look a bit like Wolverine.

But Victoria's new posing pal Kate Beckinsale - with her preppily dressed director husband - totally out-smoldered Posh in a sexy black strapless vintage Imitation of Christ minidress.

The couples parked at the party for an hour but didn't sample the mini toasted cheese-wiches, sausage rolls or fish and chips. As if. Then they headed out for a late dinner at mutual friend Eva Longoria Parker's new restaurant, Beso.

British GQ cover girl Cameron Diaz skipped the GQ bash Wednesday night due to her father's sudden death from pneumonia, following a bout of the flu. She will not be attending the London premiere next Tuesday of her new film, "What Happens in Vegas."

But everyone at the GQ bash agreed that Cam looked sensational on the mag's cover in a black Victoria's Secret one-piece cutout swimsuit, sure to sell out in seconds.

We just had to find out how she prepared for the GQ photo shoot, so we asked her Hollywood trainer, Teddy Bass, what she did.

"Cameron is sculpted," Bass revealed. "You can see her muscular shape, and that's the result of eating well, doing cardio and weight exercises. All that surfing she does helps too. Genetics also play a big part. Especially with Cameron."

Genetics? Darn, I knew there was a catch.
