'Hills' fan John McCain thrilled by Heidi Montag's vote! But why?
So, John McCain feels "honored" by a recent ringing endorsement from "The Hills" star Heidi Montag.
Really?
'Cause if I were him, I might feel differently. I might feel embarrassed. Hey, she's no Angelina Jolie, Ben Affleck, Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Jane Fonda or Oprah Winfrey.
But I guess ya gotta take whatever Hollywood endorsements you can get (including from Angie Harmon) when you're going up against celeb-smothered Democratic hopefuls Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton.
"I'm voting for John McCain," Montag, 21, told Us Weekly last week. "I'm a Republican, and McCain has a lot of experience."
When beau Spencer Pratt cautioned her about making a political endorsement, Montag fired back, "I don't think anyone cares who Heidi Montag votes for."
Well, she's wrong about that. People care. They care very much. Even McCain cares.
"I'm honored to have Heidi's support, and I want to assure her that I never miss an episode of 'The Hills,' especially since the new season started," McCain told Time's Swampland blog while he was in Pensacola, Fla.
I'm afraid the fact that McCain admits to never missing a "Hills" episode means he cannot have my vote. I'm sorry, John. But I just can't vote for a president who's hooked on "The Hills."
"Breaking Bad," "The Tudors," "24" or "Lost," sure. But not "The Hills." There, I said it.
And why am I have flashbacks to Britney Spears-President Bush?
Who can forget her ringing endorsement of Bush to Tucker Carlson on "Crossfire" back in 2003.

It's nice to know people will vote. Some opinions are to be broadcast locally, and some are to be broadcast nationally. Heidi is humble enough to admit who cares who she votes for, just as long as she is voting. I believe she made the best choice, since she didn't know about me.

"Hey, she's no Angelina Jolie, Ben Affleck, Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Jane Fonda...."
Given the contrast between how Mr. McCain and Ms. Fonda spent much of the Vietnam War, I somehow doubt that the Senator wants her endorsement.

Its interesting that she has a political opinion! Maybe they should establish a basic intelligence test before being allowed to vote!
