Marilyn Manson's wicked brew too much for Evan Rachel Wood

Even Evan Rachel Wood ("The Life Before her Eyes") can't handle her boyfriend Marilyn Manson's new brand of absinthe, named "Mansinthe."

“For my birthday, I did one shot to try it, and that was it,” Wood said. “I was drunk immediately. Being who he is, Manson wanted to make it as strong as it could possibly be, so it’s got the highest amount of wormwood that you can have legally. One shot of it, and you’re out for the night. Three shots of it, you’re dead.”

Manson's kickapoo goth joy juice is made in Switzerland and his self- portrait (as an old man, and perhaps without makeup) appears on the label.

Here's what the official description says: "Mansinthe is a natural absinthe, distilled from vermouth, aniseed, fennel and other fine herbs. Naturally, pre-sweetening is avoided and artificial colourings are out of the question for reasons of quality." Naturally? Oh, like Manson is against artificial colors? Have they not seen the dude's face?

What a s**t story. Mansinthe is avaliable here in Australia and we drink it all the time. The quality is alot better without the artificial colourings that alot of other Absinthe brands tend to do. Mansinthe tastes more real and properly changes to a smokey colour when mixed with sugar and water (the coloured ones go light blue). We do sometimes have a shot of it, just make sure you do it right by setting a sugar cube on fire on top of it first (with an absinthe spoon). wait for the cube to melt and then drink it... Yum! as for liquid cocane - well I guess that guy has never had cocane.

I agree with nicole!! I too am a major obsessed fan of Manson! I love him to death!!!!!!! I hate Evan, but hey, if she makes him happy, I guess I'm okay with it! I don't like the fact that she's tryin to be someone she's not...
