Tom Cruise's kid stays in Will Smith's new picture!
Move over, Suri! You're not ready for your close-up just yet.
But there's another Cruise kid launching a film career.
Although I feel sure that Suri will get a shot at stardom someday, right now the cameras are focused on Tom Cruise's son, Connor, 13, adopted when Cruise was married to Nicole Kidman.
Connor will make his big-screen debut in his dad's good buddy Will Smith's new movie, "Seven Pounds." He'll play a younger Smith in the Columbia Pictures production, which also stars Woody Harrelson and Rosario Dawson.
But according to People, even with an Oscar-winning actress mom and an A-list movie-star dad, Connor still had to audition for the role.
Riiight...

Anyone up for a nice hot steaming cup of nepotism? It's truly pitiful that with all the struggling actors out there so many roles just go to actors' family, I mean, you're already millionaires why not let someone else have a chance? I feel bad for people who move to L.A. thinking they're going to get a break in a field that's based more on who you know / are related to than how well you can act.
