Ashley Dupré sues 'Girls Gone Wild' founder Joe Francis

Ashley Alexandra Dupré  — best known for her alleged connection to former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer through a call-girl ring — is lashing out at "Girls Gone Wild" founder Joe Francis.

Dupré filed suit Monday in Miami Federal Court against Francis and his film company, alleging exploitation of her name and image for profit. The lawsuit seeks more than $10 million in damages.

Dupré claims that GGW reps approached her while she was vacationing in Florida in 2003. They offered her alcohol, the suit alleges, before inducing her to expose her breasts for their cameras and talking her into signing a release form — though she was 17, not of legal age to enter into any contract.

According to a story in the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, a "Girls Gone Wild" press release this March claimed Dupré had been visiting Miami to celebrate her 18th birthday.

She and a friend fought, and Dupre got thrown out of her hotel, but she eventually found a nearby "Girls Gone Wild" bus, according to the company. Dupré signed legal papers, the company said, and spent a week with "Girls Gone Wild," making seven full-length tapes that included nudity and same-sex encounters.

"I personally ended up buying her a Greyhound bus ticket back home to North Carolina," Francis told the Associated Press in March. "All nude images of Ms. Dupre were taken in public places and contain no sexual contact."

"In Florida, where Ms. Dupre was filmed, the law allows even women under the age of 18 to be filmed nude with their consent," Francis said.

Dupré, who hasn't been seen in public since the Spitzer call-girl scandal broke, is seeking damages stemming from something that happened five years ago.

Anyway, Ashley turns 23 this week. Happy birthday.

I think Joe Francis is a pig. He profits from very young drunk intoxicated girls and believes its cool because florida has some kind of law that allows it. Grown adults of sound mind making those kinds of choices is one thing but taking advantage of girls who drinking to much is plain rape. I have a friend who was partying with her boyfriend and got in a fight with him because of the fight they went there own separate ways that evening. A few months later the boyfriend was talking to a friend and was told that his girlfriend was in girls gone wild. Once they figured everything out they realized it was the night they had gotten in a fight and she had to much to drink and doesn't remember what happened and now she is on girls gone wild. He is a pig and takes advantage of women having fun.

Joe Franis is no more a pig than any other capitalist in America. Drunken youth are exploited by the sellers of booze n beer. Francis is opportunistic and a winner. He's top dog in my book.
