Is Ashlee Simpson's pregnancy rumor just a PR push? Cause it's working!

After watching Ashlee Simpson's lame song and dance routine (her new single "Little Miss Obsessive" off her new album, "Bittersweet World") on Jay Leno last night, you gotta wonder if this kid would even make it past the first selection round of "American Idol."

All those "Wo-ohs," the uncoordinated hopping dance and that contrived Stop! hand motion... I liked it better when she lip-synced. Hey, don't laugh. She was really, really good at that!

And did anyone else notice that purposefully loose and billowing black A-line trapeze dress? Could it have been hiding a baby bump, as rumored? Or... just look as if it were?

People is still sticking to its report that Ash is indeed preggers, but not admitting it, just like Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera, Minnie Driver and Angelina Jolie have done before her.

Me, I kinda wonder if all this engagement announcement/pregnancy rumor is just a little too perfectly timed around her album release which is TODAY, OMG!

Hey, the rumors made me watch Leno last night to see if I could bump-spot. So the nefarious Simpson PR plan must be working. mwwaahhhahahah.

But oh man, listening to that song was just painful. My ears are still bleeding.

Okay buddy, you're looking way too deep into that situation... Is "Ashlee Simpson Wears a BIllowing Dress On Jay Leno" newsworthy enough to write about? Must be pretty 'lame' at the office lately...

Oh, and I also caught that performance. Pretty damn good for Ashlee Simpson.

Ok. I couldn't make it through 60 seconds of the video. And if I have to stop the pain after less than a full minute, then how can we expect anyone to make it through an entire album??
