Tom Ford wants a designer baby and he wants it now!
Turns out the designer doesn't want to end up having made some dresses and done some houses.
He wants to make a baby!
In the spring issue of Fantastic Man (The Gentleman's Style Journal) on newsstands this week, the openly gay designer says that he has everything. Except one.
"I'm going to have a kid in 2008," he reveals.
"Richard (Buckley, Ford's longtime partner) knows I've wanted this for a long time. He's just resisted it. He would be a spectacular father. It's going to give his life new meaning."
"It will be biologically mine. I mean, I'm a lot younger. If things follow their natural order, [Richard will] probably leave the planet ahead of me, and I can't not have had something I've wanted forever.
I've always wanted kids. I don't want to get to be 75-years-old and just have made a lot of dresses, done some houses."
No word on whose oven the bun will be baked in. But click here to read more about Ford's thoughts and plans.
I fear this means that there will someday be a line of Tom Ford children's clothing.
Can't you just see the pouting child models in the glossy magazines already?

This man is a selfish bastard who should not have children. Despite his fame & success, is clueless about the cornerstone of being a good parent, not using your child as the latest trendy accessory in the wardrobe of your life!.

Dear Lillian,
Tom Ford has been in a relationship with Richard Buckley for over twenty years, has long time relationships with friends and is very close to his family. Sounds like someone with a good sound family structure to raise a child. That along with the fact he has WANTED a child for so long, not a oops! I'm pregnant situation. Tom Ford has been wanting a child long before the Hollywood baby-boom.

To shouting, no last name, man hating Lil, shame on you. I suppose you believe only a woman can parent a child with strong guidance and love.
Look around dumpling as there has a strong and terrible trend of late with mommy's forgoing knitting and diaper changing and instead taking up infanticide.
I have met Mr. Ford on two occasions. Both were charity events and at both he gave very hefty donations for breast cancer and childhood HIV/AIDS.
It seems obvious that in most if not all cases it is famous females on the news dragging new black babies, like potato sacks through airports for publicity. Are you still there Lilly?

To Lillian, you obviously have no insight whatsoever into the nature of Tom Ford. Although Mr. Wilcox has met him only twice, he's got it. Tom is one of the least selfish people I have ever met. His wish for a child is genuine. If he was to have a child, you can be sure that he, or she, would never be photographed.
