Scarlett and Natalie's Oscar fashion forecast
Is this a colorful portent of next week's Oscar red carpet?
Probably. Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman wore two hot new hues -- eye-boggling magenta and bright royal blue -- at the Berlin Film Festival's premiere of their new film, "The Other Boleyn Girl."
They play sisters competing for the affections of King Henry VIII of England.
And guess what? The winner gets her head chopped off! That would be Anne/Natalie.
But Scarlett gets her very own guillotine scene soon. Rumor is that Paramount is closing in on the domestic rights to her next film, "Mary Queen of Scots," to be directed by Philip Noyce.
She'll play the 16th century heir to the throne who gets beheaded for alledgedly plotting against her powerful cousin, Queen Elizabeth I of England. Sorry, didn't mean to ruin the ending.
No word yet on who'll play Elizabeth. But maybe they can get Cate Blanchett to do it again. After her nominations for that role in two award-winning films, it's hard to imagine another actress being able to pull it off or even wanting to try.
Anyway, what do you think about these colorful concoctions?
Vote now!
