Forget Julia! Who'll dress Nikki, Ellen and Amy?

Tildaswin_jonf_6705096_600

Today's Golden Globes nominations will mean a pretty spectacular fashion show Jan. 13.

The Globes carpet will be packed with some serious couture fans: Cate Blanchett, nominated for "The Golden Age" and "I'm Not There"; Angelina Jolie for "Mighty Heart"; Keira Knightley for "Atonement";  Marion Cotillard for "La Vie en Rose"; Amy Adams for "Enchanted"'; Julia Roberts for "Charlie Wilson's War"; and Tilda Swinton for "Michael Clayton."

If you're not familiar with this Scottish actress, check out the Red Carpet Rewind (Click HERE!) on Friday. I think you'll be surprised to find out just how fashion-forward Swinton is.

The big question is, will U.S fashion critics "get" her unique style? Or will the style snipers take aim and fire at her singularly dramatic look (very tall, angular with cropped red hair, very pale skin and lashes)?

But the next big fashion question is who will dress acting newcomers Nikki Blonsky (above left), Ellen Page (center) and Amy Ryan (right)? And  what will first time screenwriter nominee Diablo ("Juno") Cody wear?

Blonsky's a big (sorry) fan of Igigi Maya Plus Size clothing and has been wearing their dresses to several events. Click HERE to see their website.

Ryan has reportedly worn some Dolce & Gabanna. And Page? May I suggest some Marc Jacobs? I could totally see her in a sweet edgy little Jacobs frock like Sofia Coppola once wore with little ballet flats.

Writerdia_jeffr_51072146_600Meanwhile, I have a sneaky feeling that Cody may drop her alt-chick image and Go Hollywood. A day after news broke last week about the tattoo ("Jonny's Girl") of her boyfriend's name getting a floral cover-up, I spotted Cody (with a publicist?) sneaking into the "Atonement" premiere at the Academy theatre.

Why would someone campaigning for a screenwriting award skip the press line? Perhaps to avoid answering embarrassing personal tattoo questions?

Sheesh, it happens fast, doesn't it?

By Jan. 13, Diablo Cody will probably have a "relationship" with Karl Lagerfeld, a Dior fragrance contract and a post-tat skin cream endorsement.

Wouldn't Ellen look perfect in a Marc Jacobs ad? I could totally see it.  Then check out Diablo's Hollywood makeover.

Ellen Page is the person I am looking forward the most to see on the red carpet. She is young and modern. I love the Marc Jacobs' suggestion, but I think she will go with someone completely new.

And I love Amy Ryan's dress on the picture you posted. I can see her wearing something safe. So, maybe, Dolce & Gabbana, Carolina Herrera, Ralph Lauren, Monique Lhullier, Armani.

That looks like a wax figurine of Tilda Swinton. Shiny forehead much?

Everyone should be forced to go nude.
Or in a diaper.
