Teen Choice starlets steal Lindsay's pucker pose!
It was virtually impossible to avoid talking about Lindsay Lohan, who has a closet full of old Teen Choice surfboards, at Sunday's fan-based awards show. After all, it was just announced that the rehabbing star will spend only one day in jail for charges surrounding her most recent DUI arrest.
But every young star spouted the same stock anti-Lindsay answer -- much like adorable trained baby seals -- when asked how they planned to avoid ending up in a legal/emotional/physical mess like Lohan's.
Emmy Rossum noted how very difficult it is to grow up in the limelight and how hard it is for some girls to deal with the stress of fame and the demands of a career. She stressed the importance of good friends and family. "The Hills" star Lauren Conrad advised, "The best thing is to use common sense. Don't drink and drive. Surround yourself with good people and a healthy support system. My family is amazing."
"High School Musical" star Monique Coleman and "American Idol" winner Jordin Sparks echoed those sentiments.
HSM's Vanessa Hudgens, winner of the night's Music Breakout Artist award and rumored to be the real-life girlfriend of HSM costar and Teen Choice Male Hottie winner Zac Efron, said she's already coping with Lohan-esque paparazzi hanging outside her home. But she had the most unique -- and succinct -- suggestion: "It's really simple. Just don't do bad things."
Eerily, it sure looked as if all the girls had carefully practiced Lohan's trademark pucker-and-blow red carpet pose. Let's just hope they don't emulate her other habits.
