[Update: This is Dorothy Mackaill (d. 1990) in an undated photo! ]

We’re off to a late start on this week’s mystery photo. It turns out that our mystery guest was misidentified as Mabel Todd, but was recognized as XXXXXX by Mike Hawks and Mary Mallory. I found all these photos of her and it seems a shame not to post some of them. Please congratulate Eve Golden for also identifying her!

There’s a new photo on the jump!

Well, just let me say VaVaVoom!

Helen Vinson.

Well, that first photo on the last post was Mabel Todd, at any rate, so there was SOME Mabel Todd content, just not 100%!

I have no guess on the current guest, but boy does she have some nice legs.

Is that Pat O'Malley with our mystery person today?

Dorothy is with Pat O'Malley on the set of the 1924 film THE MINE WITH THE IRON DOOR.

Barbara Stanwyck?

Alec B. Francis and BRIDGE OF SIGHS.

Is that Hobart Bosworth then?

Claude Gillingwater.

Day-um, Claude Gillingwater was hot, I had no idea he had such great gams!

Dorothy Mackaill.

Is it Warren Cook?

Albert Gran.

whoever it is, he looks like late period Lee J. Cobb

James Rennie.

Sidnay Blackmer?

Gertrude Lawrence

Dorothy MacKaill & Sidney Blackmer

The man with Dorothy is Sidney Blackmer. The film STRICTLY MODERN.

The man in the latest two-shot looks like he could be one of the Roaches. Hal Junior?

Hmm, is that Dorothy Mackaill?

Donald Cook with her today.

SAFE IN HELL is the film.

The last two photos looks like Sidney Blackmer and Donald Cook. The name of the actress is right on the tip of my tongue!

I've seen her a million times and I STILL have trouble recognizing her. She looks terrific in the picture with Sidney Blackmer, apparently from "Strictly Modern" per Mike.
