The woman in Thursday's photo looks like Sybil Brand, who had the pink El Lay ladies' slammer named after her.

Is this John Payne?

Steve Crane

Lady Bird Johnson's older twin sister?

This is a wild guess, probably far off the mark. Is he director, Jean Yarbrough?

Sam Browne was a British (I think) cavalry officer who lost an arm in battle. He invented the rigging so he could carry a side-arm and cavalry sabre into battle.

End of history lesson. the question that is on everybody's mind is which does Larry Harnisch enjoy more:

Digging out and posting these photos or tormenting us, his fans, throughout the week?

Only The Shadow and Lamont Cranston, knows.

Beulah Bondi, in picture #4?

Lana in #2 and the grandmother who got custody of Cheryl for awhile in #4.

Lana and Cheryl with STephen.

Is that Sybil Brand with Stephen on Thursday?

Molly sez you hornswoggled a lot of us with your latest mystery guest, until today of course. Good work! She says the Fib needs to work his cranium a lot harder.

Hollow victory--Stephen Crane.

To be frank, I don't really know him. Good luck to the others trying to guess who he is. My knowledge of old actors is very very limited to Cary Grant period. Don't know anybody else.

Finally, but not without the biggest hint to date. Steve Crane with Lana Turner and their daughter, Cheryl Crane.

Ah! Steven Crane!

Here is Lana Turner with daughter Cheryl Crane and ex-husband Stephen Crane.

Stephen Crane

Joseph Stephen Crane. He founded The Luau in Beverly Hills, where I drank many a mai tai. Bio at PS Thanks for the clincher.

I suspect from the latest picture that it is restauranteur/sometime actor Stephen Crane, leaving a police station with former wife Lana Turner and their daughter Cheryl Crane, some time after the Johnny Stampanato stabbing.

Is it Stephen Crane, the father of Cheryl Crane, who's behind her mother, Lana Turner?

Stephen Crane, Lana Turner and Cheryl Crane.

Ok. Stephen Crane, Cheryl Crane and Lana Turner. (But you have to admit he does look a bit like Otto Kruger in that first photo).

Stephen Crane?
