Feb. 10, 1941: Tom Treanor writes about Europeans’ attitudes toward America. “The impending clash between America and Germany fills the Europeans with a sort of dreadful and delightful anticipation. It's so tremendous as to be inconceivable. The irresistible force against the immovable object,” Treanor says.

Hear 20th Century execs have decided to replace Cesar Romero in the "Cisco Kid" series and use him for bigger and better roles, Jimmie Fidler says.

Re the front page of the Mirror and the murder of Patrice Lumumba---shrouded in the sketchiest of legends is what Lumumba was about, whether he was a Communist revolutionary, as portrayed by the US and CIA which were essential in his killing, as the 2000 film Lumumba details (Netflix), or as has been discerned thru scholarly journalism, a teacher thrust into a position of power, in way over his head, who did briefly lead his people in a search for justice and equality in the face of their brutal Belgian masters, who was handled by his captors as a symbol for the much more sinister he never was, eliminated after two months in office.

This was he time of expansive CIA activity trolling for revolutionaries abroad and at home---note Matt Weinstock referring to the job applicant writing of Commies as revealing of her political awareness, as opposed to her political correctness---effecting their assassination and replacement by thugs much worse for their people, see Mubarak and the $100 billion given him by the US over the past 30 years, long since Lumumba firmly in control, to the destruction of good government at home as well as abroad.
