Burns, head of the Burns National Detective Agency, comes to Los Angeles for the convention and arrives a few days early, he’ll be here  when The Times is bombed on Oct. 1. And “Goo-Goo” Mayor George Alexander can hire him to investigate the bombing. Which is exactly what happened.
