Tom Treanor's incredibly stupid and racist remarks about Japanese fishermen insults not only Americans, but also immigrants of many ethnic and national groups who fished then, and do so today, not withstanding the fact that it's hard work. This guy who can't do anything more tiring than pound a typewriter can't seem to get anything to come out of the machine that doesn't sound like Nazi propaganda. There were absolutely no -- get it NO -- credible accounts of any local Japanese "aliens and non-aliens" as the government liked to put it, spying for the Axis during World War II. The Japanese fishermen weren't spying any more for Japan than Joe DiMaggio's father was spying for the Axis. DiMaggio's dad, of course, could not go near his own restaurant on Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco during the war due to stupid people like Treanor.
