Although I have not connection to Garfield HS, I was greatly inspired by Mr. Escalante's desire to work with students whom many in society had already deemed unworthy. It was even more inspiring to see that his students had the "ganas" to not fail him or themselves! I would've been very honored to have had Mr. Escalante as my teacher. Dios lo bendiga, maestro Jaime!
