Nuestro Pueblo
| |
| Aug. 1, 1938: Joe Seewerker and Charles Owens visit Griffith Park and discover an old lime kiln left from mission days. Note: I posted most of the Nuestro Pueblo features when I was going through 1938-39, but I’m picking up the ones I missed. |

Great stuff. Follow-up? Is the lime kiln still fenced off and visible?
I really like the new watercolors, but would it be possible to get the Times to revive and publish a weekly Nuestro Pueblo with the same kind of anecdotal history it unveiled so charmingly in the original run?
Invariably, when i read these stories i can smell the eucalyptus right thru the computer screen. Thanks ~~~
