I can't claim this discovery but it's a good one. Evidently Raymond Chandler made a brief and unknown -- until now -- cameo appearance in "Double Indemnity." This was simultaneously discovered by John Billheimer and Olivier Eyquem. Read more>>> |

Come on. Somebody had to notice this before now. There are way too many film buffs and crime story buffs out there.

Yes, it was known about before. An Amazon review back in 2008 mentions this cameo:

And I was told Chandler had a cameo in the film back in the 1990s, I rented the film in about 1993 on VHS and tried to pause it to find him, but had no luck. Which probably makes me sound like a crazy person, but so be it.
