Killer Samuel Aslon escaped from prison in 1950, but The Times never reported whether he was recaptured.

June 16, 1946, Murder- Suicide


Samuel Aslon died May 16, 1982, in San Bernardino County, according to California death records.

Amazing how much access the photographer had to the crime scene. I have read in the early days of newspaper photography that some communities hired the local press photographers to record the crime scene for the investigators. Don't know if that happened in the LA area.
