To keep the mystery photo from getting lost in the other entries, I move it from Monday to Tuesday to Wednesday, etc., adding a photo every day. I have to approve all comments, so if your guess is posted immediately, that means you're wrong. (And if a wrong guess has already been submitted by someone else, there's no point in submitting it again.) If you're right, you will have to wait until Friday. Los Angeles Times file photo Norma Crane as Golde in "Fiddler on the Roof," 1970. Yes, this is the same actress. Really! As many people have guessed, our mystery woman is Norma Crane, born Norma Anna Bella Zuckerman. She died of cancer in 1973 at the age of 42.

While I don't yet know who the mystery person is, there is a hint in the picture itself. It is the signature of Maurice Seymour. Maurice Seymour was actually two Russian immigrant brothers, one named Maurice and the other Seymour, who specialized in glamor photography in Chicago and New York from the twenties through the seventies.

Methinks that could be a clue.

So, I would look toward the New York stage circa 1965.

I could also be known as Red, the Herring too.
