1958_october_17_movies This, friends, is a slice of the late 1950s: Mamie Eisenhower and double bills like "Tank Battalion" and "Hell Squad" and Richard Boone in "I Bury the Living."

But wait! What's this? Jack Nicholson in "Cry Baby Killer," based on the 1957 cafe holdup in Inglewood.

Loved the trailer for "Cry Baby Killer". I've watched it about 5 times now. Jack Nicholson, future cinema superstar in his very first screen role!

Interesting scene where a woman being held hostage calls Jack a murderer and degenerate. Jack reacts and screams "shut up!" only after being called a degenerate -not- after being called a murderer. Interesting. Being called "degenerate" must have hit a nerve. A foreshadowing of things to come...
