i don't get it--can the times and/or blogger provide more explanation? it's intriguing.

The above newspaper clipping shows an illustration of the view from Harry Carr's place at Los Feliz and Western. Harry was a famous columnist for The Times, and was deceased by 1938 (the year of the clipping).

hello...it's tongue-in-cheek...just go to Western and Los Feliz

thanks dson! that's what i thought. but i live in brooklyn, ny and wasn't sure. the topography seems too different in the two images.
