Mel Gibson's outrageous new rant: Is it time for more anger management?

Melgun

We all know that Mel Gibson is a very, very angry guy, something that seems to surface at the most inopportune times, as when the WGN-TV reporter Dean Richards had the temerity to ask the actor, on camera, about the fallout from his 2006 drunk driving arrest and Gibson called him a profane name that we can't repeat here. After that incident, Gibson acknowledged that "I have a short fuse. I'm trying to work on it."

But judging from this explosive new story that just broke at RadarOnline.com, Gibson needs to put a little more time into anger management. Maybe a lot more time. Radar reporters say they have heard a tape made by Oksana Grigorieva, Gibson's ex-girlfriend and mother of his baby daughter, Lucia, who have been battling in court over custody issues.

In an e-mail to The Times, Gibson representative Alan Nierob said that he had not yet confirmed the report's accuracy "due to legal matters."

According to Radar, Gibson is heard yelling insults at Grigorieva, including a nasty racial epithet known in polite society as the N-word. In one of his rants, Gibson reportedly says, "You look like a ... pig in heat, and if you get raped by a pack of ..., it will be your fault."

In addition to a string of derogatory words referring to Grigorieva's womanhood, Gibson also is said to have threatened her, saying "I am going to come and burn the ... house down," adding, "but you will [perform oral sex on] me first."

There's much, much more, but I'll spare you the gory details. You'll undoubtedly hear all about them in the media uproar that is sure to follow. If Gibson has an explanation for his racial epithets, which of course echo the vile anti-Semitic remarks he made after his DUI arrest, it is sure to be a doozy. So far, according to Radar, Gibson has not denied having a confrontation with Grigorieva but has simply described it, through his lawyer, as a loud argument.

It's way too early to start talking about the career fallout from his latest tirade, except to say that if these tapes are authentic, Gibson should be figuring out not whether to make an apology, but when and where. It's a sad thing to realize that the actor who was so gifted at playing bitter, violent men on screen is apparently drawing all too easily on a store of bitterness and anger from deep inside his own psyche. It sounds to me as if it's time for Gibson's friends to get this man some help. Fast.

I like Mel Gibson more now. America needs to stop being so offended by everything...it's unbecoming and annoying.

I'm sorry - What? - I thought the ex girlfriend was ukranian or something. And who's the trash for making a private tape and then making it public? Poor Mel should have seen this one coming.

Yes, this is the kind of material called news today. Not what matters, but what celebrity we can all pile on.
Take your political correctness and stick it.

Many people would not meet the standard Mel is being held to if their own personal lives and things they say in the heat of anger were aired for all to hear.

Does this make it okay? No. But it's doubtful any of you commenting here or the author of the article are any better. So, stuff your self-rightousness.

Hell, this is tame compared to what I have seen and heard from other people going through a divorce or separation.

But from what I can read and gather from the internet and other sources his wife has been acting out the part of a...how can I say it nicely...? oversexed female who is married but tries to have sex with other men than her husband, and doesn't try and keep it a secret, but flaunts it.

And tries to act and dress the part at all times. Not something that most married mothers of young children do.

Anyway, it is their business. If she wants to record his anger, shame for her and his disappointment, well that is on her. Mel should be ashamed of himself for letting her manipulate him. But a man who has been chuck-holed and seen his love dishonored will do stupid things.

Wait until it happens to you and then start casting your own stones.

Papa Ray

Gibson needs to be put in a work camp serving minorities and women. He also clearly needs psychological help for his out of control behavior. I would bet anything he is bi-polar. Should I get a restraining order against him for saying so?

hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. What people say to each other in the middle of a seperation does not show their "true character". What an ignorant person this wiched wench is to tape their conversations and air their dirty laundry. I am "SURE" she is quite the saint....NOT

So what is the big deal? If you were to record what a lot of men say to their wives, girl friends in the privacy of their home, it would be no different. Only it is not being secretly taped to cash in later as this gold digger is doing. What a looser this ugly piece of trash is. But that will teach Mel (maybe?) who traded his long-time wife for that?

Anger management? Get this guy some help?
He hates Jewish people. He hates gay people. He hates black people.
And, he's unapologetic.
He should never be in front of a camera again.

good lord! who gives a cr@p, i dont care if he walks down the street yelling obscenities all day long, it has no effect on my life or on my decision to watch his movies. im sure mel loves the fact that the media is always in his business and im sure many of you would get fed up with the media and go off on them when they ask stupid personal questions.
