Mel Gibson's outrageous new rant: Is it time for more anger management?

Melgun

We all know that Mel Gibson is a very, very angry guy, something that seems to surface at the most inopportune times, as when the WGN-TV reporter Dean Richards had the temerity to ask the actor, on camera, about the fallout from his 2006 drunk driving arrest and Gibson called him a profane name that we can't repeat here. After that incident, Gibson acknowledged that "I have a short fuse. I'm trying to work on it."

But judging from this explosive new story that just broke at RadarOnline.com, Gibson needs to put a little more time into anger management. Maybe a lot more time. Radar reporters say they have heard a tape made by Oksana Grigorieva, Gibson's ex-girlfriend and mother of his baby daughter, Lucia, who have been battling in court over custody issues.

In an e-mail to The Times, Gibson representative Alan Nierob said that he had not yet confirmed the report's accuracy "due to legal matters."

According to Radar, Gibson is heard yelling insults at Grigorieva, including a nasty racial epithet known in polite society as the N-word. In one of his rants, Gibson reportedly says, "You look like a ... pig in heat, and if you get raped by a pack of ..., it will be your fault."

In addition to a string of derogatory words referring to Grigorieva's womanhood, Gibson also is said to have threatened her, saying "I am going to come and burn the ... house down," adding, "but you will [perform oral sex on] me first."

There's much, much more, but I'll spare you the gory details. You'll undoubtedly hear all about them in the media uproar that is sure to follow. If Gibson has an explanation for his racial epithets, which of course echo the vile anti-Semitic remarks he made after his DUI arrest, it is sure to be a doozy. So far, according to Radar, Gibson has not denied having a confrontation with Grigorieva but has simply described it, through his lawyer, as a loud argument.

It's way too early to start talking about the career fallout from his latest tirade, except to say that if these tapes are authentic, Gibson should be figuring out not whether to make an apology, but when and where. It's a sad thing to realize that the actor who was so gifted at playing bitter, violent men on screen is apparently drawing all too easily on a store of bitterness and anger from deep inside his own psyche. It sounds to me as if it's time for Gibson's friends to get this man some help. Fast.

Wait, so... does this mean he's not going to make that sweet VIKING movie with Leo DiCaprio? 'Cause I was really looking forward to that!!

There are plenty of rape victims who would agree with what Mel said...except that they are dead and can't say anything now.

Yes, Mel Gibson needs anger management and to humble himself before God and seek genuine spiritual help but media needs to stop crucifying people who have personal problems. I hate the media--always in someone's face, sensationalizing their lives and putting their heads on a stake for the rest of us to feast on their foibles, sins, folly and mistakes.

I swear, Satan himself runs the media. It's his instrument of terror. Journalists have bastardized the telling of sports and entertainment celebrities' victories and defeats and turned a once honorable profession into crap.

Michael Jackson is unfortunately a bloody example of journalistic judgment. Now there's a tragedy--a stunning entertainer and bold humanitarian reduced to groveling before journalists when he himself was extorted. What a sorry saga in American history.

There's a reason why the press is called "The Beast." The Beast is brutal in its quest for fresh fodder to stoke its furnaces of ratings and profit. Jackson is still reviled by many—-all because media made him out to be a despicable person not worthy of compassion. Media took the place of judge and jury and refused to accept that he was NOT a child molester.

I have a better name for the press: medialoid—defined as mainstream media infected by tabloid journalism; the proliferation of sensationalism, triviality and disregard for privacy, with particular emphasis on news coverage of the sports and entertainment industries. Medialoid hides behind the First Amendment while they tear down society by pandering to humankind's basest instincts. From its presumed position as the final arbiters of what people should be thinking about, they smell blood in the water and circle the victim like a pack of braying hyenas. Snarling jackals all.

I have to agree this looks like early onset dementia or a cognitive impairments to me. He may well have had some underlying sentiments of these kinds - hard to know - but this is melt down.

Let me get this straight, this FOOL continues on his reign of terror and all you can ask is "if he needs more anger management classes"? Are you kidding me. This man has confessed to KNOCKING THE TEETH out of the mouth of his "baby mama" shouldn't OPRAH, TARA BANKS, THE VIEW, NASTY GRACE, THAT DRUNK JANE VELEZ MITCHELL, CNN, MSNBC, FOX NEWS & the rest of the femiNazi's have something to say? You damn sure had no problem running over a Teenage Chris Brown after he had a fight with Rihanna (who started that fight by the way). Shouldn't you ppl say something about this ADULT MALE who beat the stew out of his wife repeatedly? Disappointed in you ppl as usual!

A, are you 100% sure about your comment. Cause if you are wrong... then what?

Oh! it's just too bad his in trouble again? Well i guess i had to stop idolizing you ....'coz i'm a color bronze i'm not white.

WHY? I don't get it. Sorry, but I don't think he's as bad as some of the other "stars" that are running around with no underware or ethics. Why focus on him? I just don't get it. Silly me.
