Kanye West: The presidential bashing just keeps coming

First it was President Obama, who made headlines with his blunt assessment of Kanye West's boorish behavior at Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards, calling the hip-hop star a "jackass." (Even though there was an orgy of hand-wringing in media circles about whether ABC's Terry Moran should have Twittered the president's off-the-record quip, I always thought the real story was -- what is Obama doing watching the hopelessly tacky VMAs in the first place?)

West But now Kanye is in trouble with another Oval Office occupant, former President Jimmy Carter, who, speaking at a town hall meeting at Emory University, called West's behavior "completely uncalled-for" and, showing off a surprisingly dry sense of humor, added that "his punishment was to appear on the new Jay Leno show."

I'm betting that before the week is over, our other living ex-presidents will feel obligated to comment on the controversy in their own special way:

George W. Bush: "Kanye West? Isn't that the guy who wrote 'My Pet Goat?' "

Bill Clinton: "I don't know about Kanye, but I sure would like to have some hush puppies with Amber Rose."

George H. W. Bush: "Never read 'My Pet Goat,' but I think a just punishment for Mr. West would be to read the damn book on 'Oprah' and see if he ever has any street cred afterward."

Not funny.

To the writer, just because Pres Obama commented on the story, doesn't suggest he was watching the show (I didn't either). As you are or should be aware, most people view such bizarre happenings from the internet. I would be more concerned if the president did not know of such an historical and potentially rule changing event.

(what is Obama doing watching the hopelessly tacky VMAs in the first place?)

I'm sure he heard about it the same way most did....the next day on the news.

Sorry but that term is spelled hand-WRINGING. It's from the act of wringing out clothes before washing machines and the like. Movement the hands would make.

KENYA WEST is a complete A**hole... Totally disregards other people feelings!!! He's racial idiot....

It was bad enough what he did to Taylor Swift at the MTV Awards....

Now, he goes to Patrick Swayze's funeral and made the statement he did, he should be ashame of himself....

Kanye is a JACKASS .. our president is HUMAN .. and he happens to be RIGHT .. can people handle the truth..??? .. Kanye has pulled this at previous award shows ... MTV should learn from his previous crap ... A president who speaks the truth .. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT!!!

What an awful written story.

Well I thought it was funny. Or entertaining or whatever. I loved what Bush Jr. said. Not a surprising quote of his, of course.

Kanye West is a self inflatted, egotistical, individual that reads his on hype and believes he is all of that, whatever that is.

"what is Obama doing watching the hopelessly tacky VMAs in the first place?"

Why assume he was watching them? I didn't watch the VMA's and I managed to find the clip of Kanye making as ass of himself every where I looked. But leave it to a tard to assume they know.
