If you’re a studio marketing exec, you’re already hard at work making sure that audiences are eagerly awaiting your hot summer films (even if half of them are sequels or remakes). The competition for eyeballs is insanely fierce, so it can’t be good news for them to see that Michael Dance at Digg has a new post up devoted to predicting the flops of the summer, daintily titled: ‘Top 10 Summer Movies Guaranteed to Bomb.’

Dance doesn’t pick on the real Big Gulps of summer, avoiding any disses of ‘Angels and Demons,’ ‘Land of the Lost’ or ‘Terminator Salvation.’ He prefers to torture the cinematic small fries, movies that already seem so inconsequential that you have to wonder -- what are they doing in summer in the first place?

His list of losers includes ‘Dance Flick’ (‘The title is all you need to know. To avoid paying money to see it’), ‘Away We Go’ (the trailer is ‘so hipster-pretentious that it made us want to claw our eyes out’), ‘All the Boys Love Mandy Lane’ (‘It looks like the umpteenth crappy horror movie of recent months’) and ‘My Sister’s Keeper’ (‘We are sure that we’re never watching this movie in a million years’).

I have to start rummaging through my summer movie schedule, but hey -- any ‘Bottom 10’ candidates out there that we’ve missed?
