The Big Picture Quiz: Michael Jordan edition

Jordan2 As promised, it's time to answer the question: What is Michael Jordan's all-time favorite movie? Anyone who guessed a basketball or sports film was wrong.

Jordan's favorite movie is Ridley Scott's "Gladiator," which won the best picture Oscar for 2000. It's fitting, since Jordan always approached basketball with a warrior's mentality, believing that winning was at least as much about indomitability as about pure talent. When the Chicago Bulls were on the court in the last minutes of a key game, Jordan was like Russell Crowe's Maximus--he gave no quarter.

Better still, as this clip shows, he could also shoot free throws with his eyes closed:

He received a master’s degree in English literature in 1976 and a bachelor’s degree in film studies in 1975, both from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill.
