Chinese manufacturer Foxconn Electronics, which builds some Apple products, could start shipping Apple’s iPad 2 as soon as February, according to a report published by the DigiTimes news website Tuesday.

The report cites unnamed sources at Foxconn who said Apple had planned to possibly start mass production of the next-generation iPad in January.

But those plans were postponed until about February, as the tablet’s hardware and specifications have not been finalized by Apple, according to the report.
