Some come and some go: Yahoo Inc., which just took on a new advertising executive, is now losing the head of its music department.

Jeff Bronikowski, who joined Yahoo Music in February, is jumping ship to AOL, where he’ll hold a similar position. He is to start next week, according to AOL, which hasn’t had anyone in the role for a while.

Before his Yahoo gig, Bronikowski powered through deal after deal as the senior vice president of global digital initiatives for Universal Music Group.

At AOL, “it’s too early to say what’s coming down the pike” for Bronikowski, spokeswoman Sandy Drayton said. “But we’re certainly very enthusiastic about him coming on board.”
