Facebook and Skype are working on a partnership that will include integrating the two services on Facebook, according to reports.

The partnership is expected to be announced in the next few weeks.

A Facebook spokeswoman declined to comment. A Skype spokesman could not immediately be reached for comment.

Boomtown’s Kara Swisher first reported the partnership. GigaOm’s Om Malik has an interesting post on why Facebook should buy Skype, which is getting ready for a public offering.

The two companies share a board member in Marc Andreessen.

The partnership is like others that Facebook has done with its Connect service: People who log into Skype with their Facebook credentials will be able to see their Facebook friends on Skype.
