Twitter CEO Evan Williams and wife Sara Williams just had their first baby.

How do we know? Because Sara tweeted messages during labor, from the time her water broke to baby’s first diaper.

It started Monday at 8:46 p.m. when she tweeted: ‘Dear Twitter, My water broke. It wasn’t like Charlotte in Sex and the City. Now timing contractions on an iPhone app.’

A couple hours later came, ‘The contraction tracker was fun until the contractions got painful.’

But nothing can stop a dedicated tweeter. Next came a message about her being admitted to the ‘second-to-last room’ in the hospital. Then the plaintive, ‘Epidural, yes please.’

At 10:20 a.m. came the last tweet before birth: ‘The heartbeat monitor soothes the silence of a room that will shortly be anything but silent.’

Several hours later came a tweet that Evan was ‘changing the first diaper.’

What a special, private moment. She only has 16,449 followers.

At least it probably got Evan’s mind off Twitter’s meltdown because of a hacker attack last week.

As for the healthy baby boy, we predict his first tweet will be, ‘Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!’
