Wi-Fi hotspots where you wouldn't expect them

Weird Wi-Fi hotspots in LA

It's getting a lot harder to unplug these days. With Internet-enabled smart phones, like the iPhone and Blackberry, you can latch on to a wireless access point just about anywhere: malls, libraries, coffee shops, airports and now airplanes. Check out our Weird Wi-Fi Hotspots photo gallery for a look at about a dozen rather unusual Net-enabled locales that include grocery stores, a hair salon, laundromats and a car wash. That's right: a car wash.

I'm running my own personal free WiFi Hotspot right now. User can connect to my router and they get to browse for free. An ad banner pops up every so often at the top of the page and I get some money from the ad. User can close the ad if they wish and it will be gone for a while.

Of course my hotspot is located in my little neighborhood, which means it probably won't see much traffic, but it's just kind of a cool concept. Anyways, if your ever in my neck of the woods, feel free to pull out your wireless gadget of choice and browse away.
