At a crowded MySpace counter with Saffron

Despite thinner crowds on Main Street, the MySpace cafe is now officially exploding from its success. Managed to connive a seat at the counter wedged between two others. The glamorous British woman to my left just revealed herself to be Saffron Burrows, who is starring in "The Guitar," which is playing at the fest.
Burrows, however, has a horrifying tale of sadness to tell of her Sundance journey. Remarkably, the producers of her film have decreed a no-swag policy for their crew, making her perhaps the only star in Park City without loads of gifts under each arm. I guess the story is worthy of an afterschool special: "The Girl Who Couldn't Swag."
But she claims her pain was more than compensated for by the chance she got, having learned how to actually play guitar for her film, to open up for Patti Smith at a concert the other night, playing in a band called The Every Others (from Brooklyn). Burrows breaks out her soon-to-be-framed flyer for the show and shows me the pic capturing her finest Sundance hour.
