With their quick acceleration and large, adjustable wings on top, World of Outlaws cars are fan favorites as they make wide, sweeping turns around small tracks nationwide.
Reigning NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Tony Stewart owns a World of Outlaws team whose drivers include Steve Kinser -- known as "The King of the Outlaws" with his 20 championships and 561 wins -- and four-time champion Donny Schatz.
Those two drivers, along with 2011 champion Jason Meyers of Clovis, Calif., are scheduled to race in the Perris event, the speedway said.
"It has been five long years since we hosted the World of Outlaws and it is going to be great to have them back," speedway promoter Don Kazarian said in a statement.
Speaking of Kinser, Kazarian said "with Steve turning 58 years old in June, who knows how many more times he will be racing in Southern California."
