It’s letter-of-intent day for high school football players, and the battle among the nation’s colleges to have the No. 1-ranked recruiting class is on.
As national signing day 2012 begins, Scout.com has Texas and Alabama ranked No. 1 and 2 in a close competition. Rivals.com has Alabama No. 1 and Texas No. 2.
UCLA is the highest ranked Pac-12 school at No. 11 by Scout. USC is No. 11 by Rivals and UCLA No. 15.
Of course, the day is just starting, and we’ll get to see which recruits actually stick with their commitments and send in their letters via fax to finally end the process.
