National signing day 2012: Tuerk, Simmons sign with USC

National signing day 2012

Let's hear it for the high school kids who make a commitment and actually stick with it for months. That would be all-star offensive linemen Max Tuerk of Santa Margarita and Jordan Simmons of Encino Crespi.

For months, they were committed to USC and they signed with the Trojans on Wednesday.

They lost out on free meals during potential recruiting visits and Internet recruiting writers weren't calling them nightly to find out if they had changed their minds.

No drama. No craziness. But they're Trojans.
