New Washington State Coach Mike Leach should be singing the Randy Newman tune, ‘I Love L.A.,’ because he sure has made inroads recruiting in the Los Angeles City Section.

Running back Robert Lewis (South East), receiver Gabe Marks (Venice) and defensive end Jeremiah Allison (Dorsey) were all big-time players in City Section football this past season scheduled to sign with the Cougars.

‘He’s been painting the picture of turning Washington State around,’ said Ron Allen of B2G Sports, which trains high school athletes in Los Angeles. ‘He’s cleaning up L.A. City athletes.’

Also headed to Pullman are Gardena Serra linebacker Kache Palacio, Culver City receiver Alex Jackson and Culver City linebacker Khalil Pettway.
