Kate Upton has had a great year. So has Mark Sanchez.

OK, so the New York Jets quarterback may have missed the playoffs for the first time in his career, but at least he can say he’s dating a Victoria’s Secret model who also happens to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue.

That’s if you believe all the rumors swirling around the Internet linking the two romantically. All the speculation started back in December with a New York Post article about Sanchez’s alleged visits to Upton’s apartment and cranked into full gear again this week after Upton was revealed as SI’s swimsuit covergirl, just a year after being named the issue’s rookie of the year.

A TMZ video of Upton playfully avoiding questions about her love life and her relationship with Sanchez has served as confirmation enough for all those out there hoping for ‘Upchez’ to join the ranks of celebrity couplehood.

When asked if she’s single, Upton replies, ‘Uh, what do you think?’ Then Sanchez’s name is mentioned, causing Upton to exclaim, ‘I don’t know!’ Finally, as she walks away Upton adds, ‘Whatever you think.’

So there you have it. If it’s whatever we think, and we’re all thinking that they’re a couple, well then that makes them a couple. Right?

Good for Sanchez. The fans in New York may have turned against him, but we here in Southern California still have a soft spot in our hearts for the former USC quarterback. It’s just nice to know that after a hard day of throwing interceptions with the Jets, Sanchez has someone who can cheer him up with a spirited performance of the Dougie dance.
