Tim Tebow is a nice guy. He would never rub the Denver Broncos’ shocking wild-card victory in the faces of Pittsburgh Steelers fans.

But that’s not stopping other folks in Denver from doing just that. Just look at the message that greeted disappointed Steelers fans as they boarded their United Airlines flight back to Pittsburgh after their beloved team’s season ended with a 29-23 overtime loss to Tebow and the Broncos:

‘How ‘bout that Tebow?’

Ouch! Remember when United used to encourage us to ‘fly the friendly skies?’

Apparently that doesn’t apply anymore -- at least not to devoted fans who not only flew more than 1,300 miles just to have their hearts broken but also paid hundreds of dollars to do so on your airline.

The message, which was photographed and tweeted from Denver International Airport by Pittsburgh Tribune-Review columnist Dejan Kovacevic, probably was not the best marketing move by the United employee/overly enthusiastic Broncos fan who posted the message.

And it’s just not very nice either.

Perhaps next time that person might want to ask him or herself: What would Tim Tebow do?
