Denver radio host gets Tim Tebow tattoo
Mike Evans won’t soon forget the season of Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow.
In fact, the season has left Evans branded for life.
A radio host on Denver’s 104.3 The Fan, Evans held up his end of a bet recently and got a Tebow tattoo on his right shoulder. It’s a pair of angel wings surrounding a "15," the quarterback’s jersey number.
In an interview with Denver’s 9News, Evans said a listener issued a challenge earlier in the season.
"One guy said, 'I think they’re going to turn it all around under Tebow and they’re going to win eight games this year,' " he recalled. "And I said, 'No way. If they win eight games, I’ll get a Tebow tattoo, and I don’t have a tattoo on my body.' "
Sure enough, the Broncos won eight games and the AFC West title, then beat Pittsburgh in the first round of the playoffs before their 45-10 loss at New England on Saturday night.
"I’ll always look at that tattoo as a reminder of how special a season this was," Evans said.
