The Denver Broncos, down 21 points, failed to pick up a first down on the drive after Tom Brady’s 61-yard touchdown pass to Deion Branch, giving the ball back to the New England Patriots with just over a minute left in the half.

Brady moved to effectively end the game at the break, finding tight end Rob Gronkowski for a 19-yard touchdown reception and 35-7 lead with five seconds left in the half.

It was an NFL playoff record fifth first-half touchdown pass for Brady.

It was Gronkowski’s third scoring catch in the half, also a playoff record.

The game has now reached halftime.
