Westlake Village Oaks Christian’s Ishmael Adams, one of the top high school cornerbacks in the nation, said he will play at UCLA next season.

Adams, 5 feet 10 and 185 pounds, is ranked 10th nationally at his position by Scout.com and 12th by Rivals.com. He visited Notre Dame, Arizona State and California before committing to UCLA.

“UCLA just felt right,” Adams said. “I felt calm after making my decision. You can get a great education. I can be near home, so my family can see me play. I want to help change the program.”

Adams is the fourth high school player to commit to UCLA since Jim Mora was hired as coach.

Kenny Orjioke, a linebacker from Marietta (Ga.) Lassiter High, Taylor Lagace, a wide receiver from Arcadia, and Marcus Rios, defensive back from Elk Grove Oaks, have also committed in the last two weeks.

The Bruins have also picked up Alexandru Ceachir, a tackle from Santa Monica College.
