Reggie Evans arrives, but still not signed by Clippers

ClipperslogoThere was a Reggie Evans sighting at the Clippers’ practice facility Thursday. He was seen standing inside the Clippers’ weight room area talking with team personnel.

Clippers Coach Vinny Del Negro said the team still hadn’t signed Evans to a contract. Del Negro wanted to talk to the team doctors and get the results of Evan’s physical.

Del Negro expected the Clippers to sign the 6-foot-8 Evans to a one-year contract worth about $1.3 million.

But the coach also said that he didn’t expect Evans to play in Sunday’s opener against the Golden State Warriors in Oakland because he’s nursing a foot injury.

Del Negro said Evans may not be able to play for about two more weeks.
