Ducks update: George Parros out for a month after eye surgery

Popular Ducks enforcer George Parros underwent laser surgery on Monday to correct a torn retina of his left eye.

The team said he is expected to make a full recovery and will be out for about a month.

Parros took a puck in the face at practice on Friday in Detroit and even posted a picture of his injured eye on twitter (@Stach16), saying: "Groundhog day today at practice ... guess my left (eye) got jealous of all the attention."

He was referring to the start of the Ducks' marathon seven-game trip when he took a puck in the face near his right eye in practice. Now the big question will be whether Parros decides to start wearing a visor.

Sounds like a good idea ... at least in practice.
