Oakland Raiders quarterback Jason Campbell said he will undergo surgery on his broken collarbone Monday and that he could be back in six weeks if everything goes well.

Meanwhile, the surprising 4-2 Raiders are said to be seeking potential replacements for their injured quarterback. They have looked into acquiring Carson Palmer from the Cincinnati Bengals, according to Yahoo! Sports, and have reached out to free agents David Garrard and Josh McCown, according to ESPN.

Veteran Kyle Boller took over for Campbell late in the first half of the Raiders’ 24-17 victory over the Cleveland Browns, completing eight of 14 passes for 100 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions. Rookie Terrelle Pryor is Oakland’s only other quarterback.

Bengals owner Mike Brown has maintained he will not trade the disgruntled Palmer before Tuesday’s deadline. But maybe Brown will reconsider now that his team is also a surprise at 4-2 with rookie Andy Dalton as the starter and the Raiders may be desperate enough to make an offer the Bengals can’t refuse.

Such a move would reunite Palmer with Raiders Coach Hue Jackson. The two of them crossed paths during stints with both USC and the Bengals.

Both Garrard and McCown were released by their teams before the start of the season. Garrard reportedly told the Raiders he needs immediate surgery for a herniated disc.

Another option for the Raiders might be Denver’s Kyle Orton, as the Denver Post is reporting that the Broncos are willing to trade their demoted starter.
